Kevy Cook

kevysuki.jpg
My name is Kevy and I am the proud owner of Suki. Her parents are Roxy and Beau Dae. My experience with Randy was awesome! I first contacted him back in December '06 or January '07 when I saw an ad on puppyfind.com. He was planning on breeding in March '07. He was extremely informative and sent tons of pics of Roxy and Beau. Any questions I had he was ready to answer. He was always very prompt at getting back to me when I had questions. It was an extremely long wait from the time I originally contacted him to the time I was able to bring Suki home, but he made me feel as if I was actually there with them going through the whole process. The minute Roxy and Beau mated, he let me know. As soon as the pregnancy was confirmed by the vet, I got a call from Randy. The entire time Roxy was pregnant Randy sent pictures, so I was actually able to see her grow as her pregnancy progressed. The moment that the puppies were born he let me know. I think he actually sent me a text message, at like 3 in the morning, letting me know that the first pup had arrived so when I woke up and saw the message, I was so excited because I new my little girl was finally here. Once the puppies were born, he sent pictures on almost a daily basis so I didn't miss a moment. Once the puppies were old enough we were able to go visit them, and we were also able to see the parents on site. His dogs are absolutely gorgeous and they are all so sweet! You can definitely tell that these dogs are loved very much, and taken very good care of. Randy is an awesome breeder and was a pleasure do deal with.I feel so lucky to have found a breeder like him. If ever I decide to get another Shiba, Randy will definitely be the person I call.

KaShya in California

We purchased our sweet baby girl "KaShya" from Randy & Nancy. KaShya is from the first litter born to
"Shania & "Beau". KaShya is a beautiful puppy. We are very experienced with the Shiba Inu breed. (I own two other Shibas and do Shiba Rescue) The fact that I am very experienced with the Shiba Inu Breed, I know when a puppy has been properly handled, socialized and raised from birth in the "right way", and our puppy KaShya shows all the signs of proper socialization from birth.
We actually made a visit to Randy and Nancy's home and saw first hand how well cared for the dogs are. All of their dogs are part of the family. They are family pets, NOT stuck in a kennel or cage ! We had a nice time visiting with all of their dogs. It was great fun for a Shiba Lover like myself.
Randy kept in constant contact with me even before my puppy was born. I had pictures of "Shania" during her pregnancy. Randy let me know as soon as Shania gave birth. I knew the day my baby pup was born. He always sends pictures and tries to make you feel like you are there, even when you are far away. I actually loved getting all the pictures and seeing our baby pup grow up. It was the next best thing to being there !
We are very pleased with our puppy and would recommend Randy highly as a breeder. We may possibly get another puppy from Randy sometime in the future. Thanks Randy and Nancy, and of course Shania & Beau...and the rest of the Shiba pack. We absolutely love KaShya....LaNaie & Damen

Rob & Katie taking Astro home

Finding the perfect companion is something that everyone searches for, especially with a pet. We had recently moved to Dallas from Nashville, Tennessee. Right before we moved, I was researching dogs. We came across a shiba inu pup in a pet store and fell in love with it. We searched on the internet for shiba inu puppies and came across Savage Shibas. We immediately called the number on the website. Though we were skeptical calling a stranger in a town we were so unfamiliar with, a friendly voice answered the phone and said that we could meet the parents of the upcoming litter that day. We took a tour of Randy's house and the facility where the dogs were going to be raised. After we met Randy and the parents, Reba & Beau, we placed a deposit for a little boy, and waited patiently for the next month. Randy sent us emails every few days just to give us updates on the mother. When the puppies were born he sent us pictures regularly and let us visit the puppies whenever we wanted. Randy opened his home up to us throughout the whole experience, and made us feel very welcome. He gave us the perfect companion that we were looking for. As soon as we brought Astro home he was already potty trained and such a well-behaved puppy. He has been the highlight of the holidays around both of our families. My mom and my brothers think he is just the coolest thing they have ever seen. They all want to get a shiba inu now. Every time we take Astro to the park as well, everyone asks where we got such a cute little puppy and I tell them about Randy's website. Randy made this experience worthwhile and I would definitley recommend considering him as your breeder.

           SPARKY'S NEW FAMILY

When we started looking for a shiba inu puppy, we read dozens of ads. There were a couple of things that made Randy’s ad stand out from the others. The first was the look of his adult dogs. We absolutely fell in love with his Roxy. It was also apparent from his ad that his dogs were part of his family, not just a business and limited to kennels. That was important to us because we have a very busy lifestyle and wanted a dog that was well socialized. Our first impressions were totally confirmed and then some when I spoke with Randy. He was so responsive to all of my questions about the breed and about his dogs in particular—I knew I had to have one of his puppies!

Randy was great! I totally felt like we were right there in on the action, even though we were several states away. We knew within hours that the puppies had been born and had pictures soon after. I was anxious to receive his regular emails (often daily) to see pictures of how our puppy was growing and to hear about the new things he could do. My 10-year old would bring his puppy pictures to school so that the girls could “ooh” and “ahh” over them.

We had to ship Sparky to California which caused our family a lot of anxiety, but Randy coordinated the whole thing perfectly and Sparky was amazing. After a long day of travel, he was shy for only a moment and then acted like he’d known us his whole life! We felt like we already knew him too from all of our correspondence. He has been such a wonderful addition to our home and has been extremely confident in every new situation. He’s smart, playful and loving and I know that he is so well adjusted because of the early handling and love that he received at Randy’s. My mom, who has bred and shown dogs for years, has been similarly impressed with our experience and swears that the next dog she gets will come from Randy too!

Shelby in San Antonio, Tx.

We found Randy and our sweet little baby girl Shelby on puppyfind.com on November 28th, 2005. We instantly fell in love with her picture and as we read the very descriptive ad Randy had posted, we knew she was the one. We sent Randy an email to see if she was still available and got a response and a ton of the cutest pictures within minutes ! We don't shop online very often and buying a puppy online was something we were a little nervous about. But, after reading Randy's emails and talking to him there was not a doubt in our mind that he was a great breeder who treated his Shibas as part of the family. This was something that was important to us, as we wanted a happy puppy that was well socialized and bred indoors. We had to wait 3 long weeks for Shelby to be of age to bring her home, but during that time we had the opportunity to get to know more about Randy, Beau and Reba (Shelby's parents), as well as their lifestyle and temperament. We would get a ton of beautiful pictures of Shelby a couple of times a week, sometimes even daily ! We really felt like we were there during many of her "firsts"......like her first time outside, her first time eating solid food, her first Christmas picture by the tree, etc. When the day finally came to pick her up, Randy offered to meet us part of the way (we live about 4.5 hours away). She was perfect in every way ! .......loving, happy and healthy. She even came to us potty trained !! Shelby also became the best of friends with our cat Max. Shelby took to Max right away. Max was very protective of her - he became like a big brother to Shelby. I could not believe that a dog and cat could love each other SO much ! We feel extremely fortunate to have found a great breeder like Randy. Through the years we've kept in touch, and he occasionally sends us emails and pictures to show us new puppies, the latest additions to the Shiba family and the latest improvements to the "doggy condo" attached to his house. We can honestly say that he is the best breeder we've ever dealt with, as well as one of the most wonderful people we've had the pleasure of getting to know. We plan on getting another Shiba pup in the future, and without a doubt, we can say it will come from Randy and his wonderful family. He definitely has our highest recommendations !!

Robert & Susan Coleman with "YUKI"

We really enjoyed spending time with our extended family at Thanksgiving, and showing off our "little Yuki boy". There were at least 20 people at my in-laws house and our Yuki charmed them all ! He was so sweet and well behaved, and he happily allowed others to pet him and hold him ! He played ball with the children, sat quietly at our feet and gnawled on his chew toys, went potty outside and took a nap. My father-in-law said that is the best puppy he has ever seen. I am really impressed with Yuki's temperament and how quickly he fit into the family. He is everything we hoped for in a puppy. He's beautiful to look at, excited when he sees us, happy, smart, playful, alert, cuddly (he likes to curl up on us and go to sleep). He uses his doggie bed when we ask him to, he doesn't cry at night or bark. At 8 weeks old he wakes us up when he needs to go out at night by pulling my hair ! (usually in the early morning). He never pees in the house. He's very clean and he sits on our laps and lets us brush him. Our little shiba is such a joy to our family everyday. He's brought out a very nurturing side in our 9 year old son who loves having a "little brother" to protect, take care of and play with....and Yuki is like a beloved child to me and my husband. We're already talking about maybe getting another one so we can have two. I asked for the Dyson pet hair vaccum for Christmas (lol). A recommendation I would make to others who want a shiba is to make sure they have lots of toys to play with, and chew toys are a must. Yuki likes to keep busy playing with a variety of toys, and his favorite pasttime is chewing, chewing, chewing (I'm going to buy rawhide in bulk !) Randy was a delight to work with, so open and accomodating.....and his dogs are just beautiful with great personalities. We will definitely return to Randy when we want our next puppy. We know we can depend on him for honesty, openness, as well as a happy, healthy and well-bred puppy. Thanks a million, Randy, for a wonderful experience !
